ii. Skin breakdown to Neck

1. Ensure trach tie is fitting well (no more than one finger width between the patient’s neck and trach collar/tie)

- Multiple options for trach ties, may need ENT input for best fit

- For areas of friction and breakdown to the neck, can add padding such as Mepilex border or Mepilex lite

2. Treat affected area with mupirocin. Avoid applying near or around stoma.

3. Wound care consult if breakdown is significant
