- A small amount of clear to tan drainage can be normal
- Clean around the G-button to remove drainage or crusting using techniques outlined above
- Persistent green, yellow, or bloody drainage or sudden colored or bloody drainage associated with pain or tenderness is not normal.
- This should be assessed for infection or mechanical issue with a physical exam by a physician or other qualified healthcare provider and possible laboratory and radiography evaluation
